The Purple line of the Namma Metro is part of the rapid transit rail system for the city of Bangalore, India. It will consist of 17 stations from Baiyyappanahalli to Mysore Road. The line will measure 18.10 kilometres (11.25 mi) and will be mostly elevated, with 4.88 kilometres (3.03 mi) and 3 stations underground. Currently only a 6.7 km stretch between Baiyyappanahalli and M. G. Road is operational. The line will connect the Eastern and Western areas of Bangalore.
